About the role

  • Business Intelligence Analyst responsible for designing and building dashboards for the insurance industry. Collaborating with teams to ensure data accuracy and visual storytelling in insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high quality, visually compelling dashboards and reports using Tableau, focused on commercial insurance data and market insights.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to understand customer requirements, gather feedback, and ensure dashboards meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and product teams to understand the backend data architecture, data sources, transformations, and business logic.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract and prepare data for reporting and analytics use cases.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across dashboards and BI assets.
  • Translate complex datasets into easy to understand visual stories and offer analytical insights to internal and external users.
  • Contribute to documentation, data dictionaries, and best practices for dashboard development and data governance.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in BI, analytics, data analysis, or similar roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau, including dashboard design, data blending, and performance optimization.
  • Solid understanding of relational data models and experience working with SQL relational databases, including writing moderately complex queries.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly customer-facing or client success groups.

  • Experience with ThoughtSpot.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse platforms.
  • Knowledge of Python for data transformation or automation.
  • Experience with JavaScript for analytics customization or embedding dashboards.
  • Exposure to Pentaho or other ETL tools.
  • Background or familiarity with commercial insurance data or economic analytics.
