About the role

  • Business Project Manager leading critical client initiatives for Vanguard's Workplace Solutions team. Focused on improving efficiency and enhancing retirement plan operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages projects or multiple workstreams within a broader project or program
  • Develops, implements, and monitors project plans
  • Provides insight on best practices and common obstacles
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to ensure projects are aligned with the overall company strategy
  • Communicates project status and issues regularly to stakeholders
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships
  • Proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates risks and any related project issues
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years related work experience
  • Two years of managing a project preferred
  • Financial Services and function-specific experience preferred
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Strong retirement plan recordkeeping and administration experience preferred
  • Lean, Six Sigma, and/or human centered design certifications preferred
  • Project management certifications preferred
