Responsibilities
Take technical ownership of the entire software development life cycle
Gathering requirements to designing, developing, implementing, and continuously improving scalable applications.
Apply best practices in software architecture and ensure robust, maintainable, and future-proof solutions.
Work on mission-critical systems within modern cloud-native environments, together with multidisciplinary Agile teams.
Design and set up microservices, building APIs, and designing CI/CD pipelines.
Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, continuously improve the development process, and shape software engineering capability.
Requirements
A completed technical bachelor’s or master’s degree
At least 7 years of professional experience as a software developer
Experience with – and enjoyment in – mentoring and coaching other developers
Deep knowledge of the Java ecosystem (e.g. Spring or Spring Boot)
Experience with automated testing
A mindset that sees technology as a tool to solve real-world problems
Strong communication skills, a polyglot mindset, and an entrepreneurial attitude
Experience in consultancy is a significant plus
Experience with large-scale deployments (high availability, scalability, resilience, API security) is a plus
Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
Fluent in Dutch
