About the role

  • Full-stack Developer supporting digital customer experience transformation at USG. Involved in upgrading outdated technology stacks to modern solutions for improved customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Support the transformation and upgrading of customer experience by participating actively in the delivery team
  • Take on lead development responsibilities across the entire tech stack
  • Shape, implement and deliver web experiences and help radically modernize our outdated technology stack
  • Design, develop, and implement responsive and visually appealing frontend user interfaces
  • Help migrate our Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) powered site to a modern Next.js/React implementation
  • Design, develop, test and maintain scalable and secure RESTful APIs
  • Integrate user interfaces with digital platforms
  • Design and develop reusable UI components for customer landing pages, email templates, feedback systems, and digital learning tools
  • Collaborate actively with designers, backend developers, product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience developing leading-edge online applications
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks (e.g., Next.js/React or Angular)
  • Experience with server-side backend development using Node.js to develop REST APIs and system integrations
  • Additional languages such as Python, Ruby or Java is a plus
  • Experience with web frameworks such as NestJS, Nuxt.JS
  • Experience implementing event-driven and distributed system architectures using tools such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT Azure Event Hubs
  • Proficient in test-driven development, CI/CD automation, and DevOps tools (preferably GitHub Actions and Azure, Backstage)
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, agile teams
