About the role

  • Quantitative Risk Analyst II providing critical risk management support at USAA. Developing models, assessments, and tools to aggregate and manage key financial risks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical risk management support to a line of business or staff agency
  • Identify, measure, and aggregate key risks while enabling the organization to understand and manage those risks
  • Develop and execute sophisticated quantitative models, assessments, and analytical tools
  • Evaluate market conditions, identify vulnerabilities, and uncover gaps in existing or proposed processes
  • Monitor the risk and control environment to ensure exposures remain within acceptable thresholds
  • Advise stakeholders on effective risk mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or other quantitative discipline
  • 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • 2 years related quantitative analysis experience in a discipline relevant to risk management to include statistical analysis, modeling, mathematics or other quantitative disciplines
  • OR advanced degree/designation in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or other quantitative discipline
