About the role
- Backend Developer at BLUME2000 using Python, REST APIs, and SQL. Collaborating closely with Product Owner and design team for effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- You develop backend functionality (Python, REST APIs, SQL) and provide occasional frontend support (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- You work closely with our Product Owner, other developers, and business units to help shape requirements — not just implement them.
- You have the freedom to try out and introduce new technologies.
- You work in an environment that actively uses AI and modern ways of working.
- You have significant scope for influence — technically, functionally, and in processes.
- Backend (approx. 70%): development and further enhancement of backend logic and APIs.
- Frontend (approx. 30%): support using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills (Python preferred but not mandatory)
- Confident handling of REST APIs and SQL
- Understanding of modern software development rather than just “working through tickets”
- Enjoy direct collaboration with Product Owner, PM, and business stakeholders
- Openness to AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, code analysis, AI-assisted pair programming)
- Enjoy pragmatic solutions and refactoring in legacy/grown systems
- German language skills at C1 level
