About the role
- Senior Accountant handling the financial accounting for UNICEPTA with focus on compliance and consolidation. Collaborating with subsidiaries and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Posting of all financial accounting transactions, including those of subsidiaries
- Processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets accounting
- Preparation and review of payment runs
- Account reconciliation and clearing, including intercompany reconciliations
- Group consolidation
- Handling complex accounting issues
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Closing entries and accruals
- Point of contact for tax advisors and auditors
Requirements
- Professional qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant) or as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte/r)
- Several years of solid, qualified professional experience in financial accounting
- Experience with complex accounting and tax matters
- Careful, accurate and structured working style
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Confident user of MS Office, especially Word and Excel
- Knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage
- Fluent in German and English
