About the role

  • Technical Lead for data platforms at Telefónica Tech. Responsibilities include leading teams and developing scalable bot applications using Node.js or C# .NET.

Responsibilities

  • Technical leadership: guide the team (3–10 developers), perform pairing/mentoring, plan the technical roadmap and conduct code reviews.
  • Architecture & design: define and document scalable architectures (12‑factor, event‑driven), integration patterns and API contracts.
  • Bots & channels: design and implement bots using Bot Framework SDK (Node.js/TypeScript or C# .NET), Azure Bot Service and channels (WebChat/Direct Line, Teams, WhatsApp via Twilio/Infobip, RCS, mobile/web apps).
  • Quality & observability: establish testing (unit/integration/conversational end‑to‑end), telemetry (App Insights/OpenTelemetry), logging and tracing with cost correlation.
  • Developer experience & CI/CD: standardize pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps), versioning, feature flags, canary/blue‑green deployments and safe rollback.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of Software Engineering
  • Experience as a technical reference or team lead
  • Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript or C# .NET
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Bot Framework v4 (SDK, Composer), Azure Bot Service and Bot Framework Emulator
  • Implementation of Adaptive Dialogs, middleware, state management (Conversation/User/Private), OAuthPrompt, proactive messaging and conversation references
  • REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks and messaging (Service Bus/Queues)
  • Containers (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS), observability and production troubleshooting
  • Databases (Cosmos DB/SQL), caching (Redis) and queues
  • Engineering practices: TDD/BDD, SOLID, clean architecture and design patterns
  • Differentials / Nice-to-haves:
  • • LLMs/SLMs (Azure OpenAI, prompt engineering, RAG, vector DBs such as Redis/pgvector), LangChain/LangGraph
  • • Integrations with CCaaS/CRM (NICE, Salesforce, ServiceNow) and channel providers (Twilio/Infobip)
  • • OpenTelemetry, dashboards (Grafana/Kibana/Power BI) and automated conversational testing
  • • Experience with API Management/Gateway, Terraform and OPA policies
