About the role
- Lead technical direction for building web-based applications in a Fintech company. Collaborate with Product and Design teams to mentor developers and enhance software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and execution of high-impact projects that support key business goals.
- Partner with Product and Design to build scalable, user-focused applications.
- Stay hands-on across the full development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment.
- Mentor and influence engineers while driving alignment, quality, and delivery across teams.
- Provide technical and design leadership across high impact projects that directly impact business goals.
- Set strategic technical directions for your engineering team.
- Partner with the designers and product managers to create an engaging and transparent customer experience.
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables as a highly hands on engineer.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.
- Influence and mentor a distributed set of engineers.
Requirements
- 8 - 12+ years of professional experience
- Experience building scaled web-based applications with deep understanding of business goals
- Exceptional technical design and technical communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with one or more programming languages (Ruby on Rails/React)
- Strong foundations in UI development and product security and or DevOps is helpful
- Able to negotiate trade offs between product and engineering priorities to maximize the business value of engineering effort
