About the role

  • Junior Planning Engineer in Berlin responsible for managing infrastructure projects from concept to planning. Supporting environmental engineering efforts in a well-established engineering firm with a rich history.

Responsibilities

  • Independent responsibility for handling demanding infrastructure projects in service phases 1–5 of the HOAI.
  • Responsibility for project controlling for your projects and reporting to the project/department management.
  • Preparation of scope-of-work specifications for subcontractors as the basis for their commissioning.
  • Project-related communication with clients, specialist engineers, authorities and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable field.
  • At least 1–2 years of professional experience as a design/planning engineer with a focus on urban water management.
  • Basic knowledge of the HOAI, in particular the service descriptions for engineering structures and road construction.
  • Practical knowledge of the relevant standards and regulations, such as DIN EN 752, DIN 4124, DIN EN 1610.
  • Confident use of Office 365; basic experience with AutoCAD and California Pro is desirable.
  • Structured, quality-conscious and largely independent working style, combined with the ability to analyse tasks and apply solution-oriented approaches to their implementation.
  • Commitment, enthusiasm and openness to new topics.
  • Very good written and spoken German (minimum C1 level).
