About the role
- Structural Design Engineer designing precast/prestressed concrete products for large commercial buildings. Collaborating within teams to maintain quality and deadlines in projects while enhancing personal skills.
Responsibilities
- Structural design of precast/prestressed concrete products and connections for large commercial buildings such as stadiums/arenas, parking garages, dormitories, apartments, etc.
- Performing basic calculations, learning codes and standards to complete assignments.
- Checking of drawings, coordination with clients, architects, other engineers, general contractors.
- Working as part of a project team to provide high quality and on-time deliverables.
- Maintaining internal team needs as well as external client relationships.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil or Architectural Engineering, with Structural coursework, from an ABET accredited university.
- GPA of 3.0 and above.
- Passed the FE exam.
- EIT certification is required upon hire.
- Be able to adjust to varying demands of work, managing responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
- Communicate effectively by presenting ideas clearly and in a professional manner, both orally and in writing.
- Apply logical thinking and data analysis skills to identify and solve engineering design challenges.
- Be receptive to and accepting of guidance and direction from others.
- Independently seek expertise, advice, and perspectives from a variety of sources.
- Competency using Revit, AutoCAD and/or related programs.
