About the role
- Backend/Platform Engineer at Tibber building foundational services for energy consumption optimization. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure and reliable cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production code (.NET + some TypeScript)
- Own and evolve shared platform services and cloud infrastructure
- Own platform tooling and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Run Kubernetes workloads and delivery flows (Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD)
- Contribute to AuthN/AuthZ (OAuth2)
- Raise the bar on safe delivery (testing/validation, rollout patterns, deployment practices)
- Drive improvements via PoCs and join the weekly “goalie” rotation to unblock teams and troubleshoot
- You’ll also be part of our on-call rotation (we’ll share the setup during the process)
Requirements
- Production judgement. You’ve operated infrastructure in production and make thoughtful trade-offs when reliability, security, and speed collide.
- Platform mindset. You enjoy building secure, reliable foundations that help teams ship faster and safer.
- Strong engineering fundamentals. You write clean, maintainable code - ideally in .NET (TypeScript is a plus).
- Hands-on cloud experience. AWS (or similar) across networking, IAM, databases/queues - and Kubernetes.
- IaC + delivery. Comfortable using Terraform and working with Kubernetes delivery workflows (Helm/Kustomize/ArgoCD).
- Team-first & clear communication. You enjoy unblocking others, improving how we work, and communicate well in English.
