About the role

  • Data Engineer responsible for analyzing data and supporting decision-making processes in a wellness-focused company. Utilizing advanced data technologies and collaborating with internal teams for effective data management.

Responsibilities

  • You perform analyses that support data-driven decisions across all areas of the company.
  • You work with a mature tech stack: data in Snowflake, modeling with dbt and reporting with Amazon QuickSight.
  • You use a centralized data warehouse integrating diverse data sources: point-of-sale (POS) systems, sales data, transactional and behavioral data, web tracking and e-commerce data covering the entire customer journey.
  • You are the central point of contact for reporting requests and for evolving our complex data model.
  • Together with our internal developers and external partners, you help our business teams make systematically better, data-driven decisions.
  • You understand our business model and know the details of all workflows and the goals of your colleagues.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect
  • Experience in the e-commerce sector is particularly valuable
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions such as Snowflake and AWS is a plus
  • Strong proficiency with complex SQL queries
  • Experience with dbt and Git is desirable
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker
  • Knowledge of data governance and an understanding of security requirements and compliance (GDPR)
  • Strong communication skills in German (minimum C1) and English
  • Solution-oriented and enjoys working in a team
  • Organized with experience using tools such as Jira or Asana
