About the role

  • Principal Consultant leading strategic execution in a hybrid role for energy and utilities industry. Managing client relationships and driving transformational projects with executive teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an exemplary leader, whether managing direct reports or project teams
  • Lead and execute all aspects of client delivery, with a constant focus on providing as much collective client value as possible.
  • Design effective processes and plans to drive change and desired outcomes through projects, programs and roadmaps
  • Own existing client relationships and establish new ones through strategic relationship building Accountable for driving and facilitating the expansion of client accounts.
  • Lead and implement all aspects of the plan including stakeholder management, budget tracking, and vendor management
  • Take the lead on diagnosing client problems and proposing solutions
  • Identify and define KPIs, scorecard reporting & dashboards to achieve a target ROI
  • Be highly visible in the market, contributing to the development of new products, services, tools, and methods
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with clear objectives to prepare for a seamless transition to the internal operations team to sustain long-term business results

Requirements

  • 10+ years of project/program management experience with proven success managing large transformations
  • 5+ years of internal or external consulting experience required
  • Interest in working in the energy & utilities industry required; previous industry experience preferred
  • Experience working in and with a Transformation Management Office, Project Management Office, or Integration Management Office
  • Ability to lead teams and mentor junior talent
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to executives (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Comfort handling ambiguity and managing multiple assignments
  • Successfully contributes to business development activities by assessing the needs of clients and designing innovative solutions to meet those needs.
  • Track record of successfully fostering client account growth and development
  • Proven skills in the identification of client challenges and proposing solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively expand professional networks through strategic relationship building and engagement
  • Ability to commute to our office and clients within the metro area of the location listed
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • The estimated salary range for this role is $123,000-212,000 annually.
