About the role

  • Video Editor creating engaging video content for Loudr, ensuring alignment with clients' creative visions. Collaborating with team members and executing advanced editing and post-production tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Video Production Manager
  • Video & Post-Production Editing (brand visuals, voice, & narrative)
  • Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
  • Perform advanced-level video editing tasks, including cutting, trimming, and sequencing footage to create a coherent narrative
  • Apply advanced color-correction and/or color grading, audio enhancements, and visual effects to enhance the overall quality of the video
  • Ensure that the final edit aligns with the creative vision and objectives established by the task owner, including but not limited to: Video Production Manager, Senior Video Editor, Producer, Campaign Manager, and/or the Associate Creative Director
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Communicate project status and updates to relevant stakeholders, including the Producer, and Video Production Manager
  • Project-Based Logging, Media Management, Rendering, Exporting & Delivery
  • Project based logging and organization of video footage and other media assets for efficient retrieval and management
  • Render and export edited videos in various formats suitable for different platforms and distribution channels
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of final video assets to clients or stakeholders
  • Advanced Color Grading and Visual FX
  • Perform advanced color grading and correction to achieve the desired look and mood for the video
  • Enhance visual consistency and coherence by adjusting color tones, contrast, and saturation
  • Ensure that colors accurately represent brand identity and convey the intended emotional impact
  • Utilize advanced visual effects (VFX), transitions, motion graphics, and titles to enhance visual appeal and storytelling
  • Incorporate creative elements that elevate the production value and captivate the audience's attention
  • Quality Control & Review
  • Conduct quality control checks on edited videos to ensure technical accuracy, visual consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines and project objectives
  • Review edits with the Senior Video Editor and Producer to solicit feedback and make necessary revisions
  • Ensure that all video deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards set by the agency
  • Collaborate with producers and directors to ensure that edits effectively communicate the intended message and achieve the desired impact
  • Receive guidance and feedback from senior team members to refine and improve editing techniques
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to apply innovative visual effects and motion graphics
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the Assembly Video Editor to support their growth and development
  • Supervise the assembly editing process, reviewing initial edits and providing direction to ensure consistency and coherence
  • Collaborate with the Assembly Video Editor to delegate tasks and coordinate workflows effectively
  • Coordinate with other team members, including producers, designers, and copywriters, to ensure seamless integration of video content into broader campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Video Editor and Producer to understand project requirements and objectives

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in video editing (this is not a junior position).
  • Bachelor's degree in film or video production or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in storytelling, motion graphics design, animation and video production.
  • 3D animation and graphic design work is a plus.
  • Proficient in video editing and motion graphics software such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and Cinema 4D.
  • Advanced knowledge of graphic design principles and experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of video production equipment and the pre-production process.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Agency experience or a background in marketing and/or advertising is preferred but not required.
