About the role

- Development of new cosmetic formulations through to production readiness
- Optimization and further development of existing formulations
- Close collaboration with Marketing, Product Management and Executive Management to further develop the brand and product range
- Support in the implementation of marketing and product concepts
- Technical consultancy and support for customers/clients
- Establishing and maintaining supplier relationships
- Technical and personnel management of a small team
- Advising management on technological and strategic matters
- Support for product launches, promotions and training
- Participation in national and international trade fairs and industry events
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy or a related field, or vocational training as a druggist, chemical laboratory technician or food technologist
- Several years' experience in the development of cosmetic products
- Solid knowledge of raw materials as well as emulsion and surfactant chemistry, and experience developing formulations such as creams, lotions, serums or shampoos
- Good knowledge of the EU Cosmetics Regulation and experience with stability and safety testing
- Ideally knowledge of quality management (GMP, ISO)
- Experience with laboratory equipment and analytical methods
- Confident user of MS Office, ideally also ERP or LIMS systems
- Excellent German and English language skills
