IT Security Analyst supporting the Supreme Court of Nevada in safeguarding judicial information systems. Implementing security controls, maintaining compliance, and conducting security assessments in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Implement, monitor, and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and endpoint protection tools.
Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local information security standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans; identify risks and recommend remediation strategies.
Assist with the detection, investigation, containment, and recovery of information security incidents.
Work under the direction of the ISO to implement information security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Support the development and delivery of information security awareness training for court staff.
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in information security, network administration, or related IT role.
Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Experience with network and system security tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and security monitoring solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
