About the role

  • IT Security Analyst supporting the Supreme Court of Nevada in safeguarding judicial information systems. Implementing security controls, maintaining compliance, and conducting security assessments in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor, and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local information security standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans; identify risks and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Assist with the detection, investigation, containment, and recovery of information security incidents.
  • Work under the direction of the ISO to implement information security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support the development and delivery of information security awareness training for court staff.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in information security, network administration, or related IT role.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with network and system security tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
  • Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and security monitoring solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
