About the role
- AI Lead defining, shaping, and delivering AI-powered robotic systems at Sunrise Robotics. Leading a multidisciplinary team in the development and deployment of intelligent robotics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build, lead and mentor our AI team.
- Set and evolve the technical direction of our perception and AI based motion control.
- Lead technical execution of our AI roadmap, ranging from deep learning to VLA and diffusion models.
- Architect our AI infrastructure according to our engineering and deployment roadmap.
- Coordinate and collaborate cross-team to bring synthetic data and AI guided robot motion to the forefront.
- Oversee, plan and lead the development of our end-to-end CV / ML applications and deploy them to production which will be running 24/7.
- Apply SOTA methods to create the next generation of robotics with an international multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Leader of multi-disciplinary teams in the field of AI (ML, CV) for 5+ years.
- Experience with hiring, mentoring and building efficient and results oriented teams.
- Highly skilled and experienced computer vision or machine learning engineer in 2D/3D Computer Vision and Deep Learning of over 8 years.
- A professional software engineer who has architected and implemented solutions for production grade systems for 5+ years.
- You have extensive professional experience with Python, PyTorch and various computer vision frameworks.
- You have in-depth knowledge of model training, optimization, conversion and deployment, model monitoring and are familiar with edge device compute (such as federated learning).
- You have extensive experience with MLOps and AI DevOps on platforms such as MLFlow, W&B, CometML, ClearML, etc.
- You have experience with imaging hardware, such as industrial cameras, 3D cameras and stereo systems.
- You have a product oriented mentality.
- You have the capacity to work with multidisciplinary and international teams and are an excellent communicator who can articulate complex architecture and solution design concepts in a clear, compelling manner.
- You are passionate about robotics, automation, and the transformative potential of intelligent systems.
