About the role

  • Financial Analyst preparing financial reports for Group Benefits team at Sun Life. Developing annual budget and variance analysis while providing insightful financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, distribute comprehensive reporting templates to the business lines for the monthly, quarterly and annual planning processes
  • Analyze information reported by the business units
  • Consolidate business unit data, explain variance and draft commentaries
  • Prepare reporting packages presented in finance meetings
  • Validate Supplementary Financial Information prior to release
  • Compile rating agency surveys and Year-end Regulatory Reporting
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis as required

Requirements

  • University degree with major in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-2 years financial analysis/accounting work experience
  • Pursuit of CPA designation an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong MS Office and excellent Excel skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized with good communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure during critical reporting periods
  • Bilingualism (French, English) required for Quebec
