About the role
- Financial Analyst preparing financial reports for Group Benefits team at Sun Life. Developing annual budget and variance analysis while providing insightful financial information.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, distribute comprehensive reporting templates to the business lines for the monthly, quarterly and annual planning processes
- Analyze information reported by the business units
- Consolidate business unit data, explain variance and draft commentaries
- Prepare reporting packages presented in finance meetings
- Validate Supplementary Financial Information prior to release
- Compile rating agency surveys and Year-end Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis as required
Requirements
- University degree with major in Accounting or Finance
- 1-2 years financial analysis/accounting work experience
- Pursuit of CPA designation an asset
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong MS Office and excellent Excel skills
- Must be detail-oriented, well-organized with good communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure during critical reporting periods
- Bilingualism (French, English) required for Quebec
