About the role
- Compensation Consultant supporting HR Business Partners and delivering compensation programs at Sun Life. Analyzing market data and enhancing compensation strategies and processes.
Responsibilities
- Support HR Business Partners in the delivery of compensation programs and business initiatives
- Maintain and enhance compensation programs, processes and tools
- Perform research, analysis and reporting on Sun Life’s market competitiveness
- Build understanding of available and relevant data (quantitative and qualitative) and perform analysis to gain new insights that support business decisions
- Draw upon a variety of sources to understand industry developments and trends
- Lead smaller compensation-related projects or work streams
- Review, recommend, implement and support modern, compelling, integrated and equitable compensation and Total Rewards solutions
- Play a key role in supporting HR Business Partners during the annual pay cycle
Requirements
- University degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Completion or progress toward CCP or CHRP designation is preferable
- Strong knowledge of compensation practices and theory
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., V-lookup, pivot tables, formulas, formatting, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modeling skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy (experience with statistics and data visualization technologies such as Tableau is an asset)
