About the role
- Mechanical Engineering Support Co-op at S&C Electric contributing to the Metal-Enclosed Switchgear Product Team. Drawing revisions and assisting with engineering design and projects.
Responsibilities
- Drawing revisions using Microstation 2D and Solid Edge 3D CAD software.
- Investigation of design change requests.
- Investigate custom product designs to meet customer requirements.
- Assist with projects to improve internal processes.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Diploma/Degree
- Is in registered co-op program and available for the Spring/Summer 2026 work term
- Can be proficient in Visual Basic
- Can work with multidimensional arrays
- Capable of transferring information from different sheets
- Can debug and implement error handling
- Some CAD experience
- Experience using CAD tools such as, AutoCad, Microstation or Solid Edge, is a strong asset
- Excellent communication skills
- A team player
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
