About the role

  • Structural Engineer focused on bridge and structural engineering analysis and design at Stantec. Involved in developing plans and assisting with structural condition inspections and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Perform bridge and structural engineering analysis
  • Develop designs and execute geometry calculations
  • Develop drawings and assist with structural condition inspections and reports
  • Prepare plans, specifications, structural analysis, design calculations, and load ratings for DOT and Municipal clients
  • Prepare engineering reports and technical studies
  • Assist with construction phase design services and field work for bridge projects
  • Work 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
  • 3 years of experience with Bridge engineering and structural design; CSiBridge, SAP2000, WSDOT PGSuper, WSDOT BRIDGE, Lpile, SpColumn, MicroStation, AutoCAD; AASHTO LRFD, WSDOT BDM, WSDOT Standard Specs, AASHTO Seismic Guide Specs, FHWA Seismic Retrofit Manual.
  • 2 years of experience with Engineering Projects with Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
  • Active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.
