About the role
- Lead Engineer developing scalable and secure digital investment products at leading global technology firm. Enhancing user experiences through collaboration and mentorship in a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, scalable, and secure digital investment products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences and robust application architectures.
- Act as the in-country SME for the Digital technology stack and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement intuitive, responsive user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Develop and maintain high-performance Java-based applications and microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: planning, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.
- Mentor junior developers and promote continuous learning within the team.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to strategic planning and innovation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in full stack development.
- Strong expertise in:
- Front-End: Angular (latest versions), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Back-End: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, RESTful APIs.
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development practices.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and software architecture best practices.
- Proficient in version control systems (Git) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Prior Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in financial services, investment management, or fintech.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, JUnit).
