About the role

  • Project Manager managing delivery of complex, custom solutions for Fidelity Workplace Investing clients across multiple teams and technical areas. Coordinating projects and ensuring alignment towards client deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • The Delivery Planning Lead is an adept Project and Program Manager that is responsible for supporting and guiding delivery of complex, custom solutions that support Fidelity Workplace Investing clients across multiple technical and business workstreams.
  • In addition to the coordination of project teams, you will provide program level oversight across multiple delivery teams that consist of data engineering, consulting, and QA, to ensure coordinated execution and alignment towards client driven deadlines.
  • This role will orchestrate delivery across parallel workstreams, manage dependencies between teams, standardize project practices, and ensure that all efforts support a cohesive delivery roadmap.
  • Delivering both project level execution and program level leadership, ensuring multiple teams stay aligned toward common goals.
  • Integrating work across data, engineering, and benefits teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality solutions.
  • Proactively identifying cross-team risks, interdependencies, and impacts, keeping the full delivery program on track.
  • Strengthening processes, documentation, and traceability to improve quality and repeatability across initiatives.
  • Bringing clarity, structure, and accountability to complex, fast-moving environments.
  • Creating confidence across stakeholders through strong communication, ownership, and disciplined execution.

Requirements

  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects and workstreams within a broader program portfolio
  • Ability to coordinate cross-team dependencies, resource planning, and integrated release schedules.
  • Strong command of the various Project Management methodologies, team dependencies, resource planning, and integrated release schedules.
  • Proven track record leading matrixed teams and facilitating alignment across engineering, product, and business partners.
  • Experienced in Capacity Planning and Staffing with the ability to continually adjust and Optimize resources in an environment where daily changes can occur
  • Ability to translate project team needs into actionable outcomes.
  • Clarity and alignment across teams while ensuring the team’s delivery meets quality and client expectations.
  • Experienced in delivery of Projects involving SQL, Python, Snowflake, and ETL tools (Informatica or similar) with strong technical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with API behavior, data validation, UAT, regression testing, and data governance concepts.
  • Background working with benefits data (Health & Welfare, Defined Benefit/DB, Defined Contribution/DC, Payroll, or similar) is preferred.
  • Experience partnering with benefits consultants, operations teams, and technical teams in a coordinated delivery model.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including delivering structured project and program updates.
  • Effective communication across both business and technical partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skilled at facilitating discussions, resolving ambiguity, and driving decision making decisions across stakeholder groups.
  • PMP or comparable Project Management methodology certifications (preferred).
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
