Responsibilities
- Overseeing and leading the activities of the Quality Assurance Team
- Ensuring the processing of quality products that meet customer specifications
- Helping the Shift Manager's team with quality assurance of produced and packaged products
- Ensuring no injury occurs by following safe work practices
- Ensuring sanitation of equipment and facility
- Leading the Quality Assurance Team ensuring that the produced and packaged product meets specifications
- Communicating with the Shift Manager and other team members regularly
- Ensuring the Lab area is properly staffed and maintained
- Ensuring accurate completion of all written documents and required procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1+ years related experience and/or training
- Must complete the Structured Job Training program within recommended timeframe
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculate percentages
- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must demonstrate manual and physical dexterity
- Must be able to work with hazardous and corrosive chemicals
- Must be able to tell time and convert regular time to military time
- Must be proficient at computer system data entry
- Must be able to maneuver in close quarters and climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks regularly
- Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long periods
- Must be able to work in extreme environments
- Must have an acceptable attendance record
- Must qualify and complete the Training/Orientation Program
- Demonstrated knowledge in Quality Assurance team functions
- Must possess good human relations skills including leadership and problem solving
- Physical ability to perform tasks of all jobs in the Quality Assurance Lab
