About the role
- Part-Time Respiratory Therapist providing family-centered clinical cardio pulmonary care at Shriners Children's. Collaborating with healthcare teams and participating in special projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide family-centered, age appropriate clinical cardio pulmonary care
- Utilize assessment findings to establish patient and family needs in collaboration with the health care team
- Communicate findings verbally and in writing
- Take leadership roles as assigned
- Act as a clinical resource to other departments
- Participate in hospital/departmental committees, special projects and research
Requirements
- Associate degree and Respiratory Therapy RT License in state of practice
- National Registration by National Board for Respiratory Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- 2 years in ICU setting preferred, Pediatric/Adult RT intensive care
