About the role

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust and scalable BI tools using Microsoft Reporting Services, Web-based dashboarding tools.
- Develop infrastructure in both relational and multidimensional environments.
- Develop tune and troubleshoot queries against large data stored in SQL Server with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to understand requirements and formulate use cases.
- Coordinate with Software Test Engineers on unit, integration, and regression testing using SHP’s proprietary report testing framework.
- Explore ways to improve existing products to increase ease-of-use, actionable insights and overall customer value.
- Participate in a scrum team to scope, size, and execute stories in a collaborative fashion.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the Microsoft Reporting Services.
- 5+ years data wrangling and data analysis using SQL.
- 5+ years using a source control management system such as Perforce, Git, TFS, SVN.
- Experience with a formal SDLC process.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later.
- Experience developing dashboards with products such as PowerBI or Tableau.
- Ability to perform analytics on structured and unstructured data.
- Ability to independently monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance of SQL Server queries and SSRS report executions.
- Experience with large datasets (hundreds of millions of rows).
- Understand Unit, Functional, Performance, and Regression testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field.
- Healthcare experience is a plus.
