About the role

Responsibilities
- Review Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and evaluate effectiveness related to Safeguard Review readiness.
- Assess SSR, SSPs, and SSAs for Pub 1075 compliance and ensure proper documentation and evidence preparation.
- Identify applicable IRS SCSEMs, evaluate agency compliance, and support remediation efforts.
- Coordinate all Safeguard Review preparation activities, reporting, and communications using project management standards.
- Assist with follow-up activities post-review, including developing CAPs to address findings.
- Provide expert guidance on technical solutions to ensure applications and infrastructure meet Pub 1075 requirements.
- Research and recommend technical solutions to support compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of expert-level Security Analyst experience
- 3+ years of participation in preparing for at least one IRS Safeguard Review at a state agency
- Strong IRS SCSEM technical expertise
- 3+ years working with IRS Publication 1075 (Rev. 11-2021)
- Strong communication skills (technical & non-technical)
- Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams
- Understanding of industry standards such as ISO, IEEE
