About the role

• SAS developer designing, building, and maintaining financial reporting applications at SEB. Collaborating with stakeholders for reliable solutions and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• As a SAS developer you will design, build, and maintain end‑to‑end internal financial reporting applications, owning the full reporting flow from data preparation and calculation logic in SAS Base and SAS Viya to user‑driven report execution and delivery through a custom UI.
• This includes developing robust, parameterized reporting logic, implementing data quality checks and reconciliations, ensuring traceability and auditability of results, and supporting reports in production.
• You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions that scale with data volume and remain accurate, transparent, and easy for users to consume.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on SAS development experience, with strong expertise in SAS Base 9.4 and SAS Viya (3.5 and/or 4.0), primarily focused on application-style reporting.
• Proven experience building SAS-backed reporting applications, including stored-process-style logic or Viya Jobs/Flows, implementing user-driven parameters (dates, entities, scenarios, hierarchies), and preparing structured outputs for UI consumption (tables, files, datasets).
• Solid development experience in SAS Viya (3.5 and/or 4.0), including SAS Studio development, modern job execution patterns replacing classic stored processes, and a strong understanding of how reporting workloads operate in Viya.
• Preferably, working knowledge of frontend/UI development (experience with React is a plus), with an understanding of component-based architectures and parameter passing between UI and backend services.
• Preferably, experience integrating SAS reporting backends with custom web-based user interfaces.
• Experience working in Git-based development environments, including code reviews, branching strategies, and maintaining clean, well-structured repositories.
• Preferably, basic familiarity with analytics environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery as a data source or target and exposure to infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• A proactive mindset with a strong eagerness to learn and apply new technologies.
• A sense of ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality solutions.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• An analytical and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to handle complex information.
• Fluency in English.
