About the role

• Software Engineer developing and maintaining observability stacks for internal and external clients at Scaleway. Collaborating in a diverse team to deliver robust monitoring solutions and ensure infrastructure excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Go and manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Maintain and scale the observability stack (metrics to traces) for our customers.
• Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and deploy solutions across Availability Zones (AZs).
• Participate in "doctoring" rotations to ensure operational maintenance (MRO) of platforms and handle support escalations.
• Monitor system performance and database impact during deployments (from staging to production).
• Collaborate with the team in daily meetings to co-design technical solutions.
• Work on cross-functional products, interacting with numerous client teams while retaining autonomy over the infrastructure.

Requirements

• Kubernetes (K8s): Essential knowledge for this role.
• Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Go: Strong development skills in Go or another high-level language.
• Monitoring & CI/CD: Proficiency with Grafana, Argo CD, and GitLab.
• Production experience: 3 to 5 years working in IT production environments.
