About the role

  • Associate Legal Counsel at Satispay driving strategic legal initiatives across product and compliance in financial services. Work closely with teams to foster innovation and ensure compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Driving strategic initiatives across product development, regulatory compliance, and business operations.
  • Serving as the primary legal point of contact for investment and payment-related matters.
  • Providing strategic legal advice, fostering innovation, and ensuring regulatory compliance across Satispay’s diverse offerings.
  • Playing the role of strategic product counsel throughout the lifecycle of new product and feature development.
  • Partnering with business teams to create groundbreaking services by developing innovative legal solutions.
  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including partnerships, vendor contracts, and terms of service.
  • Working closely with the Compliance department to ensure products align with applicable financial regulations.
  • Proactively monitoring regulatory developments and emerging trends.

Requirements

  • Legal and financial background – You are a lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in advising on financial regulations and customer-facing products, ideally with experience in tech innovation applied to e-money or MiFID services.
  • Strategic and risk-based approach – You can take smart risks and provide strategic advice, aligning regulatory requirements with business objectives.
  • Product counseling – You can immerse yourself in the technical and product aspects with high curiosity and are willing to find innovative customer-facing features while balancing legal risks effectively.
  • Contract negotiation – You are skilled in drafting and negotiating complex agreements with a strong understanding of regulatory considerations.
  • Sound judgment - You are confident in making sound decisions even in situations of ambiguity or with incomplete information.
  • Communication skills – You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to advise and influence senior management and engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Adaptability - You excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments, demonstrating the ability to quickly adjust to shifting challenges and priorities.
  • Language proficiency - You are fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
