About the role

  • Physiotherapist providing senior clinical leadership for inpatients at McKellar IRC. Managing a mix of orthopaedic and rehab patients while supporting a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced physiotherapy assessment, treatment and care planning within a multidisciplinary acute care team.
  • Deliver clinical leadership, supervision and support to Grade 1 and Grade 2 Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants.
  • Lead service improvement initiatives, quality activities and innovative models of care within the clinical area.
  • Contribute to education, mentoring and professional development of staff and physiotherapy students.

Requirements

  • A registered Physiotherapist with extensive clinical experience and advanced practice capability in an acute healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising and supporting junior clinicians.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
