Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Hosting and Infrastructure services, ensuring service levels, obligations, and KPIs are consistently met.
Act as the AWS and cloud infrastructure subject matter expert, providing proactive technical leadership to advance the function through innovative cloud solutions, continuous improvement, and capability development.
Design, build, and enhance cloud and infrastructure solutions to meet evolving business and client needs.
Share expertise by training and mentoring team members, partners, and clients to uplift capability across the organisation.
Support sales initiatives, including technical input into proposals, contract changes, and client discussions.
Requirements
Proficient in deploying, managing, and optimising AWS EC2 instances.
Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and cloud architecture best practices.
Strong professional working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and associated infrastructure services.
Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in Terraform, CloudWatch, PRTG, GitHub source control, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation, WAF and related security technologies.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, including S3, RDS, Route 53, IAM, VPC and Lambda and more.
UK Government Security Clearance (SC) to be obtained, if not cleared already.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (or other relevant AWS certifications); Python and other coding experience would be an advantage.
Experience in a similar cloud or infrastructure engineering role.
