About the role
- Senior Data Engineer designing and implementing scalable data architectures and pipelines for clients. Collaborating in agile teams while utilizing modern data platforms and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Capture and analyze complex customer requirements and translate them into scalable data architectures.
- Design and implement modern database structures, data models, as well as highly available data pipelines and backend applications.
- Automate and orchestrate workflows (CI/CD) to ensure maximum data quality and system stability in production.
- Connect to, transform, and cleanse heterogeneous data sources — from REST APIs and flat files to complex relational and NoSQL database systems.
- Actively contribute to the development lifecycle in close coordination with clients and teammates using agile methods (prototyping, MVP development, sprints).
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering) or an equivalent qualification with a strong technical focus.
- You have at least 3 years of solid professional experience delivering Data Engineering use cases.
- Deep knowledge of database modeling as well as the design and implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data warehouse/lake architectures.
- Expert-level SQL skills and proficiency in at least one other programming language — ideally Python.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake and comfortable working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of big-data frameworks (e.g., Spark) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to implement technical requirements in iterative sprints.
- Highly analytical and structured working style. Your approach is characterized by reliability, personal responsibility, and a commitment to "clean code".
