About the role
- Data Engineer developing modern data models and ETL processes for RUF's BI solutions based on Microsoft technologies. Focusing on data quality, performance, and automation in a cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Development of data models and implementation of efficient ETL processes in a modern cloud environment — with a focus on Microsoft technologies such as Azure Data Factory, SQL Server and Synapse Analytics
- Ensuring highest data quality and guaranteeing the performance and scalability of our business intelligence solutions
- Performing comprehensive testing, conducting root-cause analysis and precise debugging, including the preparation of clear, traceable documentation
- Developing innovative approaches for the continuous optimization and automation of our data architecture
Requirements
- Degree in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification — preferably with relevant professional experience in data and BI engineering
- Practical experience with a common BI tool — initial experience with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks or Qlik Sense is a plus
- Strong knowledge of SQL and/or Python for data processing and analysis
- Analytical and innovative mindset, with an independent and goal-oriented way of working
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken; English skills are an advantage
