Responsibilities
- Help patients improve their mobility, manage pain, and regain functionality
- Assess patients' conditions and create personalized treatment plans
- Guide them through rehabilitative exercises and therapies with a focus on Neuro
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other modalities
- Educate patients and their families on recovery techniques and injury prevention
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Supervise and instruct physical therapy assistants or aides
- Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment
- Stay updated with current physical therapy practices
Requirements
- Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Current and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state in which the job is located
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation standards.
- Over 1 year of experience in a clinical or hospital setting is required. Experience in a specialized area such as orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, geriatric, or sports therapy is a plus.
- Must be able to pass all necessary health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screening and background check.
- Experience in Neuro is highly preferred
