About the role
- AI Engineer designing, developing, and operationalizing GenAI and LLM solutions for measurable business value at Rockwell Automation. Collaborating with business and technical partners to implement AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop GenAI applications using LLMs, including retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), prompt pipelines, and orchestration workflows.
- Build GenAI solutions from design through production deployment and iteration for assigned use cases.
- Define solution architectures aligned with enterprise AI platforms, standards, and guardrails.
- Establish and apply best practices for prompt design, evaluation, testing, and versioning.
- Implement automated build, test, deployment, monitoring, and feedback practices for GenAI solutions.
- Mentor AI engineers and associates working on GenAI and LLM‑based systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, AI/ML, or applied data systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production‑grade services.
- Hands‑on experience designing and deploying GenAI / LLM‑based applications.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
