- Senior Frontend Engineer developing resilient web applications using Vue.js and TypeScript for reteach. Leading coding standards and mentoring junior developers in an innovative SaaS environment.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the frontend technical direction, establishing coding standards, best practices, and efficient development workflows.
- Lead the implementation of responsive, high-performance, and resilient web applications using Vue.js and TypeScript.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentoring team members.
- Develop comprehensive tests to ensure high product stability and quality.
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams during feature discovery, prototype evaluations, and feasibility assessments.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, continuously proposing and implementing process improvements.
- Work alongside the CTO to foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation within the team.
- Promote strong teamwork through active participation in team meetings, activities, and ongoing collaboration.
- Balance rapid feature delivery with long-term code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
- Proactively contribute to scaling engineering practices, processes, and the overall growth of the engineering team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in JavaScript and TypeScript development
- Advanced proficiency in the Vue.js ecosystem (Vue 2/3, Nuxt, Composition API, Vuex/Pinia)
- Solid understanding of modern frontend tooling and practices (Vite, Webpack, ESLint, Jest or similar testing frameworks)
- Experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Proven track record in creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members
- Excellent communication skills
- Startup experience in fast-paced environments with resource constraints and tight deadlines
- Active interest in and hands-on experience with AI tools and technologies
- Experience with NestJS and backend technologies is a plus
- Fluent in English; German language skills are beneficial
