About the role

  • Site Reliability Engineer focusing on security and compliance automation across ICS platforms at RELX. Driving integrations and automation in cloud environments like Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of security and compliance automation across ICS platforms.
  • Lead the integration of OTEL Gateway with SIEM, support Policy/Compliance data pipelines, and enforce compliance-as-code.
  • Own security controls, automate compliance, and support critical security workstreams.
  • Implement and maintain observability integrations for security log forwarding to SIEM.
  • Automate compliance controls and policy enforcement in CI/CD (Checkov, GitHub Actions).
  • Support Policy/Compliance data normalization, drift detection, and compliance scorecard automation.
  • Standardize and document on-call and incident response procedures.
  • Collaborate with product and platform teams to ensure observability and compliance standards are met.
  • Implement and automate security controls in Azure/AWS and on-prem environments.
  • Harden CI/CD pipelines and container infrastructure (CIS, Chainguard, vulnerability scanning).
  • Build and maintain observability, logging, and alerting for security events.
  • Lead incident response, DR, and technical resilience initiatives.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate security into SDLC.
  • Support Zero Trust, MFA, and secrets management rollouts.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in SRE, DevOps, or security engineering roles
  • Strong experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS), OIDC, and managed identities
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
  • Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki)
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, MFA, and secrets management
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
