About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and maintain automated tests using Cypress, Selenium, Capybara or any other relevant and related tool.
  • Execute and manage manual test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Own test planning, execution, and reporting for features and releases.
  • Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, UI, integration, and smoke tests.
  • Log, track, and verify defects using issue tracking systems such as JIRA.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to test strategy discussions.
  • Help maintain QA environments and test data setup processes.
  • Continuously advocate for best QA practices and identify areas for improvement in both product and process.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with a strong focus on automated testing of web applications.
  • Practical experience writing automated test scripts with Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Capybara or any other relevant and related tool.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser behavior to assist in UI test debugging.
  • Familiarity with test runners and assertion libraries like RSpec or JUnit.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • Proficiency in working with REST APIs and testing them using Postman or similar tools.
  • Experience working with AWS-based environments and understanding of cloud-based deployments (is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
