About the role
- Senior System Engineer developing and operating Windows and Linux environments for international mobility. Ensuring the foundation for modern booking and ticketing systems while collaborating on critical infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, implementation and operation of Windows-based system environments and virtualization platforms
- Operation, support and further development of business-critical applications in close collaboration with the business units
- Active participation in infrastructure projects in traditional data center environments as well as in cloud and hybrid architectures
- Administration and optimization of the network infrastructure with a focus on routing, switching, VPN and firewall technologies (basic understanding required)
- Analysis, troubleshooting and monitoring of the entire system and application landscape to ensure smooth and stable operations
- Creation and maintenance of concepts, processes, documentation and manuals for the continuous improvement of IT services
Requirements
- Extensive expertise in virtualization, storage systems and network technologies – in particular with Hyper-V, Azure (including local/Azure Stack deployments), SonicWall, as well as the cloud services Azure and Microsoft 365
- Broad know-how in building and operating IT infrastructures, server and system landscapes – both on-premises and in hybrid cloud environments
