About the role
- OT Security Engineer managing firewall and IoT gateway configurations in industrial settings. Collaborating on security standards and troubleshooting remote access infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Set up, manage, and configure firewall rules in industrial networks, as well as analyze and resolve incidents.
- Configure and troubleshoot IoT gateways, including establishing secure communication channels and resolving connectivity and security issues.
- Implement, operate, and monitor secure remote access infrastructures, and troubleshoot remote maintenance connections.
- Provide advice on OT security standards, support audits and compliance activities, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Create network diagrams and plans, including defining address ranges, routes, and rules.
Requirements
- Degree or vocational training in IT, network engineering, or automation engineering.
- Experience configuring firewalls and network components.
- Knowledge of IoT protocols and industrial communication standards (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT).
- Understanding of OT security policies and standards (e.g., IEC 62443, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), Data Act, Machinery Regulation).
- Proficient with remote maintenance/remote access solutions (OpenVPN, IPsec).
- Analytical skills and a structured working approach.
