About the role
- Family Law/Victim Rights Attorney at Pine Tree Legal Assistance providing holistic legal services to victims. Collaborating with partners to improve community responses and legal representation.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, low-barrier holistic legal services to victims of domestic and sexual violence and stalking
- Consult and collaborate with local resource centers and service providers
- Provide legal advocacy ranging from advice to full representation in cases
- Engage in community networking and outreach to strengthen access to legal services
- Participate in working groups to improve systems for addressing domestic and sexual violence
Requirements
- Must be admitted to the practice of law in Maine or be eligible to practice under MRCP 11(c)
- Previous experience working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence is preferred
- Previous litigation experience is preferred
- Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the state of Maine
