About the role
- Fresher Security Analyst supporting cybersecurity team with VAPT tasks. Involves assessing and reporting vulnerabilities across systems and applications in India.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting **vulnerability assessments and penetration testing** on networks, systems, and web applications.
- Support the analysis of security testing results and help prepare **detailed vulnerability reports** with remediation recommendations.
- Work closely with senior VAPT analysts to learn and apply **penetration testing tools, techniques, and methodologies**.
- Participate in **security audits and risk assessments** to evaluate the organization’s overall security posture.
- Research emerging **cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques**, and stay updated with industry best practices.
- Document testing methodologies, procedures, and findings to improve testing standards and processes.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with security frameworks and standards such as **OWASP, CIS, and industry best practices**.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity**, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory entry-level cybersecurity certifications such as:
- **CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)**
- **eJPT (eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester)**
- **CompTIA Security+**
- or other relevant entry-level security certifications
- Strong understanding of **networking concepts**, protocols, and architectures.
- Basic knowledge of **operating systems** (Windows, Linux) and **web applications**.
- Familiarity with security tools and frameworks such as:
- Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit
- Burp Suite, OWASP Top 10
- Understanding of common vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and remediation techniques.
- Strong **analytical and problem-solving abilities**.
- Good written and verbal **communication skills**.
