Responsibilities
- Be part of our existing product function, collaborating closely with existing Product Owner(s) in support of our software delivery efforts.
- Work closely with business colleagues and key clients, to inform decisions on core product requirements and major strategic product decisions.
- Assist as we continue to build and evolve the company's product management function, introducing industry best practices and effective ways of working within the delivery team.
- Help define and develop the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment across the company and clear communication of these goals to all stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment across the product delivery process, from research and design to development and final product delivery, maintaining a seamless and efficient workflow.
- Own and manage the product backlog, including prioritising features, bugs, and improvements.
- Lead the sprint planning process to ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and expectations, alongside insights into the competitive landscape and overall market trends, to inform product development.
- Effectively communicate product priorities and updates to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency across all levels of the organisation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software development, ideally within SaaS, cloud-based, or bespoke solutions.
- Strong understanding of product management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused products.
- Ability to drive change and continuous improvement in product development processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
