About the role
- Principal Data Architect at PointClickCare ensuring coherent and scalable data architecture. Driving unified data direction while collaborating with Engineering Architecture team for AI enablement.
Responsibilities
- Establish Product & Engineering-wide standards for schemas, naming conventions, event patterns, canonical models, and data representation.
- Ensure systems are coherent, scalable, secure, and aligned to business strategy.
- Define and drive a unified data direction across the organization.
- Evaluate technology, cost optimization, and enable AI capabilities.
- Collaborate within the Engineering Architecture team to implement data strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Data Architecture or related field
- Strong experience with data modeling, database design, and ETL processes
- Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (Python, R, etc.)
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
