About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing and maintaining data and automation solutions at PNC. Responsible for API development and integration using modern technologies and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design new as well as update Rest API and Kafka event Services
- Define endpoints, data formats, and authentication methods, while also considering factors like security, performance, and best practices
- Understand business requirements and translate them to API Design
- Build integration solution with IBM MDM AE product, Mongo DB and Kafka
- Implement API design best practices and use modern API design patterns
- Support technical planning, estimation, development, testing and UAT support
- Participate in production incident analysis and issue resolution
- Work in Agile environment using JIRA and Confluence tools
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Apache Kafka
- MongoDB
- experience design, development, and maintenance of APIs and integration solutions
- experience in an Agile environment using JIRA and Confluence tools
- certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered
