About the role
- Pflegeexperte supporting intensivpflegebedürftigen patients in Erfurt. Engaging in quality assurance and staff training in a care team context.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing rounds for new admissions and readmissions of patients
- Provide clinical guidance and instruction to nursing staff in out-of-hospital intensive care, with a focus on ventilation, inhalation therapy, respiratory air humidification, tracheostomy, tracheostomy care and endotracheal suctioning
- Assume clinical on-call responsibility for staff, including weekends and public holidays
- Work closely with treating physicians and specialists
- Assess staff training and continuing education needs and pursue ongoing professional development
- Support the onboarding of new staff and mentor interns and trainees
- Organize and deliver training sessions and equipment briefings, ensuring proper documentation
Requirements
- Qualified nursing professional (m/f/d) with at least 3 years' professional experience in mechanical ventilation and successful completion of a certified specialist course (minimum 200 hours) as a “Nursing Specialist for Out-of-Hospital Ventilation”
- Respiratory therapist with a nursing qualification
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care (m/f/d)
- Strong communication skills
- Genuine passion and commitment for the nursing profession
