About the role
- Data Analyst supporting Chief of Staff in data-driven decision-making at PerkinElmer. Analyzing data insights and collaborating with stakeholders to contribute to value creation.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Design, create and enhance dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against strategic goals.
- Provide regular reports to the Chief of Staff and other stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability by implementing quality assurance measures.
- Identify and address data discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Assist in developing and executing strategies to drive value creation within the organization.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making processes.
- Effectively communicate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment of data analytics efforts with broader organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably within a private equity-backed environment or consulting firm.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI preferred) and data analysis and manipulation tools (Alteryx (preferred), Python, R).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience in understanding issues, analyzing data, deriving conclusions, developing practical solutions and supporting their implementation.
- Experience in accessing, querying, and manipulating data within ERP systems and enterprise applications, e.g., SAP, Salesforce, ServiceMax.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation, with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and projects involving diverse stakeholders.
- Possesses strong prioritization skills and a keen sense for identifying high-value opportunities, ensuring focus on work with the greatest impact and ROI.
