About the role
- Test Automation Engineer at Pelion ensuring reliability and quality of IoT connectivity solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed automated testing and improve quality standards in the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Write & maintain automated tests for front-end features using Cypress
- Develop automated tests for back-end APIs using Pytest
- Build scalable, maintainable test suites for UI features, back-end APIs, and full end-to-end workflows
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline release processes
- Conduct thorough testing to identify and troubleshoot issues across environments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong experience in automated testing using modern web frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium or similar)
- Experience testing back-end APIs, validating data, business logic, and integration points (e.g., via Postman, Pytest, or similar)
- Familiarity with Git version control systems and workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for continuous learning, team-based problem solving & improving engineering practices
